As we can see into

I feel the default actions are particularly "stupids" (sorry this judgement, that's my point of view). We see 7 default status, having only the 2 same default actions:
- Disposed exactly the same than Retired, or Returned Lessor: That is inventory data cleaned, and auto-reactivation when receive inventory data from agent...
- In Stock: like, Missing, On Order, RMA: Does not auto-activate when collecting inventory, must activate "manualy" ! Also, all those status delete inventoried existing data (from inventory solution only, not all Dataclass)... WHY missing, in stock and RMA not auto-reactivate ? I must tell customers not using those attributes but retired only...
What I kindly request from Symantec to integrate into Altiris is: (Bold is the changes)
- Disposed: (not associated company any more, high stronger than Retired)
release inventory license, Delete inventory data, NS config request do nothing, NOT auto-reactivate on inventory
- In Stock:
release inventory license, Keep inventory data, NS config request auto-reactivate, auto-reactivate on inventory
- Missing:
release inventory license, Keep inventory data, NS config request auto-reactivate, auto-reactivate on inventory
release inventory license, Delete inventory data, NS config request auto-reactivate, auto-reactivate on inventory
release inventory license, Delete inventory data, NS config request do nothing, auto-reactivate on inventory
release inventory license, Delete inventory data, NS config request do nothing, NOT auto-reactivate on inventory
release inventory license, Keep inventory data, NS config request auto-reactivate, auto-reactivate on inventory

Of course, I can understand Symantec don't want customers keeping "inventoried data" without paying a license for that, all the same that is already a shame Symantec deactivate policies, aleatory, when overloaded licenses count ! Please SYMANTEC, take care and respect your customers and let them working: If any need to pay more licences, just put a warning on the console, a red banner, to tell "nee to extend licences", BUT do not put all the policies, patching, and other maintenance and security critical operation into failing ! You should probably get a legal class action for such a setting.
